About Us


Born in Israel, Revital Melech’s interest for the pastry arts began at a very young age. That passion eventually led her to the United States, where she
attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America.


Upon graduation, Ms. Melech’s talents quickly landed her the position of assistant pastry chef at Manhattan’s renowned Oceana restaurant. After a
year, the owners of Oceana promoted her to pastry chef and asked her to head up Abboccato, a sister restaurant of Oceana.


Eager to expand her range of pastry arts, Ms. Melech left Abbocacato in 2008 to join Bar Artisanal, where she worked with the award winning chef Brad Thompson. While she was new to the group, it wasn’t long before Ms. Melech was promoted again-this time, to command the kitchen of the two-Michelin starred Picholine restaurant.


Ms. Melech’s opulent cakes and pastry creations have appeared in numerous television shows, newspapers and magazines, from the Food
Network to the New York Times and Martha Stewart’s Radio. She was also chosen by Restaurant Hospitality Group as one of the 30 Rising Star Chefs in the USA. Revital lives in Shanghai with her husband Sam.
